
However, its most unique feature is its ability to mimic sounds it hears in the forest. In its effort to attract females, it imitates the calls of more than 20 different bird species, often confusing the birds themselves. Even more impressive is its reproduction of human-made sounds in the forest. Camera shutters, car alarms, chainsaws, or the whistles of passersby—nothing escapes its mimicry.
